Next week, families and friends all across our nation will gather to give thanks for all of our blessings. As challenging as it may be to recognize what has blessed each and every one of us this past year, there have been blessings that we all have received in some measure. Perhaps it was a phone call from a friend, the birth of a child, the peaceful passing of a loved one, the gift of a new job, the opening of a business, the survival of a struggling business. Maybe it’s just being alive one more day. These are gifts to be recognized and for which to give thanks.
Last Thanksgiving, I celebrated with my family via Zoom. We each prepared our meals in isolation but celebrated as a family. It was very different, but it worked. This year, I’ll once again be with my family as in days past; for that, I am very grateful. I have renewed appreciation for just how delicate the balance of life really is. There is nothing to be taken for granted. So, to each and every one of you reading this message today, Brian and I send you our warmest well-wishes for Thanksgiving, and may the blessings that you count be abundant! Happy Thanksgiving!!
