Derek Marks, Gregory Hoss, Jon Zubiller and graphic & industrial designer Peter Allen visit the DMSAS designed American Airlines Center in Dallas for a Mavericks game as guests of our client, Sundance Square.
The Cleveland Orchestra recently held their Centennial Celebration Concert at DMSAS renovated Severance Hall . The concert aired in January on PBS and featured music from Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 24, Strauss “Die Frau Ohne Schatten” Symphonic Fantasy and Ravel's "La Valse".
David and Jessica Hathcock Welcome Baby Beatrice Grace!

DMSAS David & Jessica Hathcock (along with their son Thomas) welcome a new addition to their family, baby Beatrice Grace. She joined them Saturday morning, February 9th. The name Beatrice means "she who makes happy, bringer of joy and blessings". Congratulations, Hathcock family!
Chas Winebrener Joins the Team!

After completing the Travel Fellowship internship at David M. Schwarz Architects over the summer of 2018, Chas Winebrenner graduated from the Catholic University of America’s graduate school and now is excited to be joining the DMSAS team. In his free time Chas enjoys reading new books, taking photographs , and playing basketball. Chas will be presenting his recently completed thesis on A New Pennsylvania Station in New York for the DMSAS office in the coming months. 
Jordan Cahill Rejoins the Team!

Jordan graduated from Tulane University in 2006 with a Master of Architecture degree, and has been part of the David M. Schwarz Architects, Inc. family since that time. In 2015, she moved back to her childhood home of St. Louis to raise a family, while continuing on as an independent consultant. After a few years as a stay-at-home mom, she has rejoined the firm. Jordan enjoys playing with her children (William and Vivian), spending time with her dog Cooper, photography, and interior design. 
Patrick DiGiovanni Joins the Team!

Patrick, who was raised locally in Laurel, MD, is a registered architect in the state of Maryland and has previously worked at Hickok Cole Architects. Patrick has strong roots in the DMV area possessing a Biology Undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland and a Masters in Architecture and Sustainable Design from CUA. Outside of work, Patrick enjoys spending time with his wife Kara (a project manager for Forrester Construction), playing guitar, recording music, hiking and attending comedy shows. Patrick also enjoys studying history and embarking on international trips.
Tommy Vince Joins the Team!

Tommy Vince, a current CUA graduate student with a concentration in classical architecture and urbanism, joins DMSAS as a intern. Tommy grew up in a Navy family and has moved across the country a total of 10 times prior to his undergraduate studies in Architecture and Civil Engineering. Tommy had previously played the middle linebacker position for the CUA football team and enjoys Muay Thai, boxing, beach volleyball and harmonica music. We are excited that Tommy will also be joining us as a DMSAS Travel Fellowship Intern this summer.
Chris Torres Joins the Team!

Chris Torres recently earned his masters degree in Architecture with an Urban Practice concentration from the Catholic University of America. He currently resides in Silver Spring, MD. Chris is excited to join DMSAS because of his specific interest in design and Master Planning. During his free time Chris enjoys playing soccer, attending soccer games at the new DC Audi Stadium and spending time with his Shiba Inu dog Ciri.
Chevy Chase Lake
 Site preparation and excavation are underway at Chevy Chase Lake for the underground garage and the first two multi-family-over-retail buildings; concrete work is expected to begin in the coming weeks. DMSAS will be involved in Construction Administration for the multi-phase, mixed-use project until delivery of the first phase, which is expected in the fall of 2021. The third building, an 11-story apartment tower with ground-floor retail, is currently in the construction documents phase.
Vanderbilt Residential College A
 Vanderbilt's RC-A is currently under construction with the east side basement mostly complete and the west side starting roof installation. DMSAS is involved in evaluating mock-ups for exterior materials. This second RC is on schedule to open for the Fall 2020 semester following the completion of the E. Bronson Ingram Residential College in 2018.
Vanderbilt Residential College B
 DMSAS is halfway through Design Development on our third residential college at Vanderbilt University. RC-B will house approximately 330 students and include a dining room, great room, shared living room, faculty apartment, lounges and various other offices and meeting rooms. New additions to this college are an active learning space and a black box theater that will serve the entire University.
The Waycroft
Construction of The Waycroft has moved to the interior and crews have begun framing interior units. The building is also undergoing installation of MEP equipment and interior finishes and flooring. The project is on schedule for completion and occupancy in the spring of 2020.
Dickies Arena  
The Dickies Arena is nearing completion as the crew is placing exterior pavers and preparing the exterior of the building for the installation of the Dickies branded signage. The interiors are nearly complete and the crews are working on the remaining installation of the interior lobby fixtures. Final completion of the Arena is slated for a late 2019 opening.
