On Thursday evening, April 11th, over 500 guests gathered together at the Savannah Center in West Chester, Ohio to celebrate God's working through the medical ministry of Caring Partners International. The evening started with a Silent Auction, where guests bid via their smartphones on more than 400 items, donated by supporting businesses and individuals. Marion Peraza de Webb and Ari Webb played beautiful classical music while guests mingled through the Silent Auction area.
Dr. Adam Reed, CPI Missionary & President, opened the evening with prayer. Adam thanked our corporate sponsors and volunteers, making special mention of lead Banquet volunteers, Rick & Jenny Lalli. Adam also shared some ministry statistics from 2018:
- 11,000 patients were treated in CPI church-based clinics, and more than 3,000 made a profession of faith in Christ
- CPI donated 19 million dollars of medical supplies and medication to church mission work in the USA & around the world, at no cost to the recipients
- Through CPI's TriState Care Network, 10,000 local families were helped with personal care products and home healthcare supplies
Adam then welcomed the musical guests, the band My Brother's Keeper, to the stage to open the program. A testimonial video was played, then CPI Missionary Andrew Wienhoff shared his testimony of how God moved him to step out of his comfort zone to serve the Lord full-time at CPI, choosing to live his life on purpose for God.
Following a wonderful prime rib & salmon buffet dinner, the program continued with Georgetown College freshman Phoebe Gamber sharing how God has used CPI to focus her life's mission. Retired engineer Tom Pernik presented how God is using him to process & prepare thousands of prescription glasses that CPI donates around the world to provide the gift of sight.
Rhonda Reed, CPI Missionary & Executive Director, closed the evening by telling the story of Amberli, a young baby whose life was saved during a March 2019 mission journey to Guatemala. Rhonda shared how God connected the individual purposes of a multitude of people to save Amberli's life, according to His plans, and for His glory.
On behalf of the Board of Directors and Mission Leadership Team of Caring Partners, thanks so much to each of our guests, sponsors, volunteers, and donors for creating an unforgettable evening. The ministry's "Hallelujah" goal from the evening's Response Cards was $50,000, and by God's grace, $35,000 was raised. We praise God for His provision as we strive to impact the world for Jesus by equipping our church partners with tools to share the Gospel through healthcare.
“You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power, for you have created all things, and for your pleasure they are and were created.”
