2nd Sunday after Epiphany

This sermon, based in the lectionary passage for the day, will explore three ways we come to know the Messiah.
Jesus invites all who will to "come and see" the grace provided by a personal relationship with the savior of the world.
Join us for worship on Sunday at 10:30 AM as Rev. Dr. Charles Davenport invites us to "Come and See"
About today's preacher:

Dr. Davenport has served as an ordained PC(USA) minister for 41 years. At present, he serves as a presbytery associate for our presbytery. 
Charles and his wife Betty, a retired Christian Educator, reside in Gastonia. They have three "grown" children and seven grandchildren.

The NFL Super Bowl is coming up, February 2 in Miami. We don’t know who is playing yet, but we know that February 2 is also the day for the “Souper Bowl of Caring”.

We will start collecting cans of soup for Christian Ministries next week.

We will collect money for Christian Ministries during the February 2 nd Worship Service.

Dates are set for Church Breakfasts on February 23 and March 22 , the Fourth Sundays. In the event of bad weather, the Church Breakfast will be postponed to the next week.
