Our 6th grade just completed their visit to Mohican in the Outdoors. As always, it was both a learning experience and a time to work together on science and other outdoor activities. They even had the opportunity to do rafting this year (with life jackets!).
We will be sending home information about the St. Catharine Advisory Board. They are looking for candidates for the board who will replace those who have completed their terms on the board. We have an active and involved board that works to support the mission of St. Catharine School. If you think you might be interested in sitting on the board, please submit a short biography (3 – 5 sentences) that informs about your interest in St. Catharine School and also grades your children are attending. Thanks also to Mrs. Esterly and Mrs. Payer for their time and effort on the Mumkin sale. The proceeds will be sent to the playground fundraising project.
We continue to move ahead with the playground. We are waiting for additional information on the drainage of the field areas. Once we have those final inspections, we will be ready to place our order for the equipment. More information will be sent once we start on this project (hopefully in October).
Thanks to all our parents who have volunteered to help in the cafeteria and playground. I appreciate their time and help. If you are able to give us a little of your time each month to assist in these two areas, we would be grateful!
