The
Stars of Alberta Volunteer Awards recognize extraordinary Albertans whose volunteer efforts have contributed to the well-being of their community and fellow community members. Six awards are presented annually on or around International Volunteer Day (December 5). Two awards are given in each of the following categories: Youth, Adult and Senior. The nomination deadline is September 20.

This year's maze is a tribute to Dr. Patch Up and the Stollery Children's Hospital. While the correct pathways can be walked in under thirty minutes, most directionally challenged visitors-adults and children alike-will require about one hour to navigate more than 5 km of twists and turns.
