ADEMS has historically supported scope of practice protections for physicians and that scope determinations should be guided by health care professionals’ education, clinical training and competency testing.
CMS is already seeing the next round of proposed scope expansions in the upcoming legislative horizon. Therefore ADEMS supports CMS' developement of this toolkit that all members can access with thoughtful approaches to scope of practice holding patient safety paramount.

Join the effort! Each section includes data, fact sheets, sample letters and digital graphics to share by email and social media. Explore the toolkit and use it in your discussions with policymakers.

September 24th was been designated Dr. Gary VanderArk day

Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock designated September 24 as Dr. Gary VanderArk day. Dr. VanderArk is the founder of Doctors Care, along with the Colorado Neurological Institute and the Colorado Coalition for the Medically Underserved.
Doctors Care shared this honor with ADEMS on the 24th and now we want to make sure to share with his colleagues.

Doctors Care shared how incredibly proud they are to have such compassionate and committed leadership in the pages of its 33-year history. Doctors Care would not be what it is today without him. Thank you Dr. VanderArk! Congratulations!
Virtual recording still available to ADEMS members:
