"You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you free to desist from it." (Pirke Avot 2:21)

It brings me great joy when a member steps up with an idea and a plan. Recently, Rita Lowenthal invited our compelling Wisdom Circle speaker, Vivian Rothstein, to share how and why she supports asylum-seekers. Renee Cronenwalt invited her dear friend, Dr. Mark Katz, and his guests to educate us about being transgender. On a more interpersonal level, Leonor Kletzky, who would welcome some company, offered to teach conversational Spanish in her home.
As a former teacher, I learned that we should never underestimate our impact on others. So too, at ChaiVillageLA, each helping hand has the potential to impact the whole Village, and beyond.
Our Village On the Go
Vivian Rothstein came to Wisdom Circle to educate about asylum-seekers in the US. Talia shared about her internship with Eritrean asylum-seekers in Israel.
Village member Dr. Ruth Weisberg led a special walkthrough of her art exhibition, Time and Time Again.
