A Message from the Principal
Congratulations to all of our third grade students who are receiving First Communion over the next few weeks. God bless you!

Congratulations to Joanna and Joshua Elriachi (Grades 4, 5) who volunteered for the Norwalk River Cleanup Project hosted by the City of Norwalk and Keep Norwalk Beautiful.
Virtual Back to School Night
This year each homeroom teacher and the middle school team will hold a “Virtual Back to School Night”. By now you should have received your Zoom invitation with the date and time of the meeting(s). The purpose of these meetings is for the teacher to introduce themselves, briefly review the grade level curriculum and share their expectations for the 2020 - 2021 school year.

This is a “ parent only” meeting. See you then!

Prior to your meeting with the teacher, please read the following documents: New School Handbook, Health Information from the Nurses Office and FAQ's from the Diocese of Bridgeport Catholic Schools Office)
Fundraising Facts
I wish to thank the Home School Association for its commitment and dedication to our school. The H.S.A. is a fundraising organization unlike a PTA. We have two major fund raisers at our school, the “Shopping Showcase Extravaganza” and the Cash Raffle.

In the past, we have had other “fun raisers” like the Fall Festival, Breakfast with Santa, the Guys and Dolls Dance etc. designed not to make money, but to build community and make memories. Due to the present set of circumstances beyond our control, some of these events may not be possible.

COVID-19 has greatly affected our bottom line. We need your help more than ever this year!

Here are some facts: In parish tuition for one child is $6530. Yet it costs over $8500 to educate one child at our school in grades K-8. (In the state of Connecticut, it costs on average $16,000 to educate one student in public school.) The diocese gives the schools a small amount of money. The Home School Association must fundraise to make up the shortfall. That is why it is so important for every family to participate in our fundraisers. It is vital to the life of our school.

Why not just raise tuition?
As part of our mission to make a high-quality Catholic education accessible to all, we strive to keep our tuition affordable, and we offer significant financial assistance to those in need. As a result we have a gap between our cost and revenue per student.

The “Shopping Showcase Extravaganza" is one of our major fundraisers of the year. Information on how to register to participate can be found here and in this email

We are in Week 2. We need to raise $15,000.

As stated in our School Handbook, “Every family needs to participate or send an opt out check for $100.“ Thank you for your cooperation and generosity!

Any questions, please contact me directly ([email protected]) or Janet Mitchell ( [email protected]. ).
Don't Forget the Health Form!
Please remember to send your child’s Daily Health Screening form in the morning. If you forget it, you need to take your child home, take his/her temperature, answer the questions and return to school with the form.
Principal's Office Hours
Have a question? Need to vent? Just need to talk? Principal’s Office hours: Every Tuesday 12:30-1:00. Give me a call!
Second Grade Parents
Attention second grade parents! Please remember to contact your parish to register your child for the sacraments of Reconciliation and First Communion. In the Diocese of Bridgeport sacramental preparation is done at your home parish.
School Communication
All parents are asked to have their cell phones nearby and turned on during the school day just in case of an emergency or unplanned early dismissal. Please be certain that you have a contingency plan for pick up for your child on such days and that your child knows what it is.

If you have any questions pertaining to your child’s education, please feel free to email the teacher.

Until next time.... God bless!
