Friends,
Whether we’re adhering to a strict student budget, combining financial forces with a partner, or working toward brand new goals like saving for a child’s education, we all grapple with the discipline of budgeting. Church life is no different. Each year, the leaders of our faith community rely on all the saints to commit time, energy, and finances to sustain our shared life in Christ.

The simplest way to participate is by making a financial pledge. If you’ve never pledged before, please keep in mind that it doesn’t matter whether you pledge $10 or $1,000. Your generosity is vital to our common life. And if the church doesn’t know you plan to give regularly, it cannot budget for your generosity.

The All Saints’ “All Giving Together” Canvass 2020 celebrates our membership within the Body of Christ and invites us to articulate our intended generosity overtly. Whether or not you have pledged in the past, you have a place in this picture of faith. Because with God, all of us discover a place of belonging and meaning as we exercise our gifts.

Your presence at All Saints’ helps the love of Jesus Christ come alive in unique ways. I give thanks for all of you and encourage you to lean into this flow of love at All Saints’ in two ways:

  1. Make time to gather with All Saints’ friends at one of our Neighborhood Gatherings. If you have not received an e-vite, please let me know and feel free to join me for the "intown" gathering on Sunday, September 22 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Lilli Midtown.
  2. Please make your commitment/ pledge to our shared life online (click here) or send in a paper pledge card. I know the concept of pledging can feel strange if you’ve never done it before, so please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you have questions or concerns.

However you budget your time, energy, and financial resources, your daring to participate in our common life extends that flow of love to all who continue coming from near and far to be part of what God is doing in our city. Thank you for being part of this communion of saints!
Gratefully,
The Rev. Sarah Stewart
Associate Rector for Young Adults and Innovation
