We have a new & improved WiFi network! Check out these details to stay connected.
Our IT team has upgraded our WiFi network to help keep the District’s info more secure. Plus, they’ve made it a whole lot easier to log in! This fall, the old MCS_WLAN network will be shut off, so
log onto the new SCS_WLAN network now so you don’t lose access. The same network security provisions apply, such as restrictions on sites hosted outside the U.S., but here's a big plus – you no longer have to keep up with a separate password for WiFi! Just use your Active Directory ID, which is the same username and password as your email.
So
It's simple to log in:
- Select “SCS_WLAN” from the available networks in your device’s WiFi settings.
- Log in with your Active Directory ID.
- The first time you log in on a device, you will be asked to trust the certificate. Once you do, you won't be asked again.
*If you’re a Mac user,
there is one extra step. After completing the three steps above, you will see another pop-up window asking for a username and password. For this, you will enter the password for your actual device, not your email password. Once you do, you won’t see the popup again.
