MEMBER CONNECT
June 2, 2020
Greetings!

Here is this week's  Member Connect  e-newsletter featuring informative and useful content. Please read this special message from our CEO for an important reflection on this past week's events.

We encourage businesses and customers to sign and share our #LoveLaneBiz Pledge  to help keep Lane County safe during the phases of reopening. Our Safety Gear Exchange page is being continually updated with more listings of available PPE, and be sure to also check out and download our  Back to Business: A Guide to Reopening   if you haven't already. Keep an eye out this week for our June issue of the Bottom Line to be published tomorrow or Thursday - this month's issue will focus on Leadership through crisis.

We are all in this together. We thank everyone for your thoughtfulness and continued resiliency. If you need someone to talk to, don't forget that we're just a phone call away.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
#LoveLaneBiz
A Pledge to Safely Serve the Community
The safety of our businesses and community members continues to be top of mind. To show your commitment to following guidelines, staying informed, and continuing to be kind, patient, and respectful -  we invite you to take the #LoveLaneBiz pledge;  a pledge to safely serve our Lane County community as we reopen. This pledge is not only for businesses though. We encourage customers to sign on also and show their support for our local businesses.
Safety Gear Exchange

The Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce has created this resource to help facilitate member to member exchange of safety gear and PPE. Whether you are manufacturing certified PPE, sewing masks at home, or have any other safety gear at your disposal, we invite you to use this platform as a way to purchase, sell, and/or donate safety supplies.
Back to Business
A Guide to Re-Opening
In partnership with the Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce, we've put together this guideline for re-opening businesses - it contains valuable information for specific industries to follow Governor Brown's guidelines and helpful tools for employers and the general public in an easy-to-follow format.
We've compiled a list of relevant links related to Reopening Oregon, including a document from the Governor's office, Lane County's blueprint for reopening, guidelines by sector and category, and more. You can locate them under the tab "Reopening Oregon" in our Business Resource Hub COVID-19:

To combat quarantine fatigue and get community members fresh air, Willamalane Park and Recreation District has started a social-distancing scavenger hunt for family units.
A past scavenger hunt clue included taking a picture of a tadpole or a frog. Every Friday, Willamalane will post three new scavenger hunt clues, which may include photos, hints or riddles that lead to an interesting destination.
During these uncertain times, we recognize the strength and resiliency of the Springfield Chamber community. Thank you to those who have shared your story. To all our members, please help us share yours. Contact Elora Kelsh, elora@springfield-chamber.org for more information.
