If you want to get the overhead wires that endanger and foul our neighborhood undergrounded, and their poles removed, we strongly recommend that you attend this meeting!  The more people that attend, the clearer the message to City Hall that the residents of San Francisco want undergrounding of utility lines to happen now.

And if you can't make it, we urge you to have a friend attend.
Please forward this email or send this flyer to others.

The CHA has been working for over 10 years to get this done.   We have now been successful in getting San Francisco's DPW to contract with an engineering firm (Telamon) to scope this project, an important step towards drafting an undergrounding Master Plan.

We have done this by working through our charter membership in and board position on the San Francisco Coalition to Underground Utilities (SFCUU). We obtained a $125,000 allocation from the Board of Supervisors to start this project, another $100,000 allocation by our D2 Supervisor Catherine Stefani, the endorsement of 10 of our 11 Supervisors (the 11 th has not replied yet) and also the endorsement of over 15 other San Francisco neighborhood and civic organizations.

The critical importance of attending this community outreach meeting by Telamon is to show by that attendance that we really want to achieve overhead utility wire undergrounding, and to help shape what will be the priorities in its implementation.

Thank you, in advance, to all of you who will be attending!
