14 World Championship Races Worth a Combined $28 Million in Purses

GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (Thursday, November 4, 2021) – If you can’t make the trip to sunny California for the 2021 Breeders’ Cup World Thoroughbred Championships then come out to Lone Star Park. It’s the next best place to watch, wager and win! We will bring all of the racing action to you live via simulcast from Sunny California’s Del Mar Race Track on Friday, November 5 and Saturday, November 6.

Known as the richest two days in Thoroughbred racing, the 2021 Breeders’ Cup features a total of 14 races worth a combined $28 million in purses.

It all begins Friday with the Grade 2, $1 million Juvenile Turf Sprint at 4:50 p.m. and on Saturday with the Grade 1, $1 million Filly & Mare Turf Sprint at 2:05 p.m. All times CDT.

Please note a slightly different schedule on both Friday & Saturday, November 5 & 6 to accommodate the Breeders’ Cup races.

Friday, November 5

Bar & Book will open at 10 a.m.

First Race from Del Mar is 1:55 p.m.

First Breeders’ Cup race post time is 4:50 p.m.

Grandstand Gates will open at 5 p.m.

First live Lone Star Park race post time is 6:25 p.m.

Saturday, November 6

Bar & Book will open at 10:00 a.m.

Grandstand Gates will open at 10:30 a.m.

First Race from Del Mar is 12:15 p.m.

First Breeders’ Cup race post time is 2:05 p.m.

First live Lone Star Park race is 6:15 p.m.

Breeders’ Cup Classic race post time is 7:40 p.m.

Grandstand seating will be available at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 6. Tickets can be purchased online in advance for Silks Dining and Luxury Suites or by calling (972) 263-PONY.

Advance wagering for Saturday's Breeders' Cup race card will be available at Lone Star Park all day Friday, November 5.
