Monday of the Second Week of Lent
Taking the Gospel to prayer
We teach our children the "Golden Rule" at an early age. Jesus spells it out for us in adult language today. We cannot receive what we do not extend: forgiveness, gifts, generosity.
Perhaps today's prayer could take us to even more specific considerations in our Lenten journeys. Do we need help with talking to/listening to God? Listening to others? Patience? Perserverance? Fill in the _____________________________.
Lord, I cannot expect to receive what I cannot give. Help me to grow in selflessness.
