Welcome to New Faculty/Staff
We welcome
Rachel McGonigle as the new Admissions Director. Rachel, a former teacher, comes to us from CORA Services where she was the Marketing and Community Coordinator and handled public relations and communications. Rachel is a current parent, and her daughter Alex is in 10th grade. Rachel has been involved with volunteering at Basils since her daughter began and is highly involved in the local community. Rachel will begin on September 16.
We also welcome Yana List to the science department as a long-term substitute for chemistry and environmental science. Yana is a certified biology/chemistry teacher with experience at Cheltenham middle school/high school. Yana will be teaching courses from August 26 through the end of September while our new chemistry teacher, Shana Hogg, focuses on being a newly adopted parent. Shana and her husband welcomed baby Lucas Gabriel to their family on August 18. Shana will transition to her teaching position on September 30.
Opening Days
Grades 9-12 return to school on Tuesday, September 3 at 7:55 AM. Students are to wear full spring uniforms beginning the first day of school.
Opening School Liturgy
Our Divine Liturgy will be held on Wednesday, September 4 at 8:15 AM in the auditorium. All are welcome to attend.
Music Classes
Students enrolled in the following music classes will start classes the week of September 9:
Band, String Ensemble, Handbells, Piano Class, Concert Choir, Madrigals, Chamber Ensemble.
Student Mixer
Our opening Student Mixer will be held on Friday, September 6 at 7:00 PM.
Drop/Add Classes
The last day for students to drop or add a class for the 1st or 2nd semester is Friday, September 13.
Back to School Night - Wednesday, September 11
