N ews  from the Board of Trustees
Greetings from all of us on the NWPL board.
This has been a busy year for us so far, with several important projects in the works. One of them, the replacement of the building's aging heating and air conditioning system, will begin within a few weeks. We'll keep you updated as that work unfolds. We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to our capital campaign, making this necessary project possible. ( And we're still accepting additional donations, if you'd like to help.)

In case you haven't yet heard, NWPL's Executive Director Amanda Merk has resigned in order to pursue other career opportunities. We wish her well in her new endeavors. A search committee will be formed soon to find a new director. In the meantime, the dedicated and very skilled staff of NWPL, with support from the board as needed, is keeping the library operating smoothly and planning new programs. Library patrons should not notice any interruption in services.

We hope to see you at Puppies & Pooches this Saturday! Thanks to the Friends of NWPL for putting together this fun and creative way to support the library.

The board wants to hear from you if you have questions about or ideas for our community's library. We will hold a community meeting later this year, but in the meantime, please contact board President, Ron Miller, at [email protected].

Best wishes from the trustees:
Ron Miller, President
Bill Colson, Vice President
Gary Horsman, Secretary
Joe Boyd, Treasurer

Heating and Cooling Campaign
Donations now over $400,000

We thank all of our donors for generously supporting our library and this vital project. With the help of so many community members, we hope to reach our fundraising goal very shortly and to begin work on the project in the coming months.

NWPL receives about 35% of our operating revenue from the towns of Woodstock and Bridgewater. We count on your generosity to raise the funds for special projects like replacing our heating and cooling system as well as the majority of our annual operating funds. If you have not yet given, we hope that you will consider making a donation soon.
If you wish to see one of our events after the fact, you might be able to find it online. Macy Lawrence films many of our events for WCTV8, uploads them, and adds them into the television schedule. Thank You, Macy!!! (more...)
