Update on the Cascade Show
After a thorough review off all facility options and dates by show management and the Region 5 Board, we have decided to cancel the 2019 Cascade Youth Benefit show. While some might not know, the Cascade Show is the primary fundraiser for Region 5 Youth and supports their activities throughout the year including the youth judging team, non-horse youth activities, Region 5 Youth attendance at AHA Youth Board meetings, etc.

Please consider extending your support to the youth through other sponsorship opportunities this year. Region 5 Youth are currently selling garlands for the Region 5 Main Ring Championship show at $50 each. All youth are welcome to participate for the chance to win a first place prize of a custom soft shell jacket from The Hat Lady, second place $100 show credit or a $50 show credit. Contact your nearest youth or send your sponsorship direct!

Thank you for your continued support of Region 5 Youth and be on the lookout for fundraising events throughout the year.

Region 12 News

The 31st Annual Region 12 Youth Jamboree was held July 10-14, 2019 at the T. Ed Garrison Arena/Clemson University. Seventy eight (78) young riders enjoyed three days of youth clinics with a range of topics from western pleasure, english pleasure, dressage, hunters, showmanship, trail, terminology, saddle fitting and more. A AHA Value show was held the last two days. Region 12 is proud to have been the creator and continuous sponsor of this outstanding youth program. This has been a great platform to market our Arabians to a different audience, having sold a few each year to non-Arabian people.
Trail riding fun.

REGION 18 SHOWS OFFER FUN & THRILLS!!

Way to go Region 18! Spectacular facility, spectacular weather and most important, spectacular people coming together to show their spectacular horses!

Region 18 boasts 3 competitions during the week-Last Chance Show for those still requiring qualifications to show at the Championships, Eastern Canadian Breeders Show salutes all our Canadian owned horses and, of course, the Region 18 Championships which offers both main ring and Sport Horse & Dressage classes.

Not only was there quality competition throughout the entire event, but it was held in an atmosphere of fun and camaraderie. From the pizza party to the silent auction (great items went to new homes) to the 50/50 draw, the exhibitors and spectators were happy! Needless to say, winning the many Championships available at the shows made exhibitors even happier.
Big thank you to our superb judges, Debbie Reid, Christine Johnson, Kellie Towers and Peta Christen. And, to all of the officials, exhibitors, sponsors and especially all of the volunteers-we couldn't have done it without you!

Next year the facility, Ancaster Fairgrounds, will be offering new buildings and services for equine and agricultural events. Looking forward to having the Region 18 Show back there in 2020, and we look forward to having you join us.
