A Note from the Pastor
THANK YOU, GUARDIANS OF THE TRIBE
The above title might sound a bit dramatic, but in this case it is appropriate for three reasons:

1.       Some 230 adults attended the Ministry Safe training for the sake of protecting our young people. (If you have yet to do the training, please contact Rosanna for the link to the training video.)

2.       As I said in the closing video clip, we need to see ourselves not only as teachers, ministers, chaperones, counselors, mentors, mother- and father-figures; all of us need to carry ably the title of Guardians . This is our calling as adults who watch out for those who are both the most valued and most vulnerable among us. As Jesus said, theirs is the Kingdom.

3.      At the next QBM on September 29, we will present an updated Minor Sexual Harassment Policy for the church. Thanks to Lucy Sellers and the Rick Management Committee for their good work and for Committee’s presenting this at the QBM.

Special thanks to all who have participated or who will participate soon!

Guardianing with you,
Jim
