Sanitary Sewer Video Inspections
On Monday, May 11, the City Sanitary Sewer Video Inspection project will begin. The City’s contractor, Pipe and Plant Solutions, Inc. (PPSI), will be cleaning sewer main lines and performing video inspections in the southern part of Los Altos. Work at each location is expected to take no longer than a few hours. Video inspection of the City’s sanitary sewer pipes provides the City’s engineers with valuable information for each pipe segment, such as the structural integrity of pipe walls or the presence of fats, oils, and grease buildup within the system. This information will be used to prioritize future maintenance, repairs, and rehabilitation in the sewer system.

Over the last couple of weeks, the Los Altos community has banded together to bring light to a time of darkness. Mayor Jan Pepper concluded her recent letter to the community, "Los Altos, we are strong, and we will get this through together." We wholeheartedly believe that. The City is encouraging participation in various campaigns that we hope will bring comfort, happiness, and smiles. So, our neighbors know you are not alone, and we will get through this together.
