Back to School Night & Ice Cream Social
Delone Catholic's Back to School Night is Thursday, Aug. 29. There will be an ice cream social beginning at 6:30 p.m. sponsored by the PTO in the school cafeteria. At 7 p.m., there will be a short prayer and welcome after which parents may visit their students' classrooms and meet teachers.

This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about your student's classes, his or her teacher's expectations and course requirements. And an added bonus, there's ice cream courtesy of our PTO.

Cafeteria Services - A La Carte vs. Meal Pricing
Delone Catholic will no longer be participating in the Federal lunch program, which has resulted in a change to our services and prices. Note that there are now two lunch lines: one for a la carte items and one for the lunch meal. If your students are using the a la carte line, they will be charged per item. If they use the meal line, they will be charged $4.35 for the meal. Your students have been made aware of the difference in pricing with the two lunch lines.

Please visit the school website under Quick Links/Parents/Cafeteria Services to view a complete price list, Cafeteria Policy and lunch menus. Cafeteria Payment Forms are available on the PlusPortals in the Cafeteria Services folder under School Links and Forms.

Consider telling a friend about all the wonderful programs and services that Delone Catholic has to offer, and you may be eligible for a $500 Refer-A-Friend Tuition Grant. The details of the grant are as follows:
  1. The $500 tuition grant is awarded to a current school family who refers a prospective student to Delone Catholic who then transfers into 10th, 11th or 12th grade and completes the academic year.
  2. The tuition grant will be applied to the current school family's final tuition payment.
  3. The transfer student must not have been previously enrolled at Delone Catholic.

SportsLeader Virtue of the Week
One pillar of the SportsLeader program is a weekly virtue that we incorporate into our athletic practices and throughout our school community. Every week, we will share them here to encourage the students to take the virtue into their homes as well!

This week our virtue theme is being ENTHUSIASTICThe strength to lift up yourself and others even when faced with difficulties.  Being ENTHUSIASTIC is so contagious! It lifts up everybody on the team, classmates in school and our family especially when they are feel down or depressed.
