During lunch at the Milwaukee County Zoo, these two girls wanted to take a picture with me and of course, I said yes! These two have been to camp since it began and are here most days of the week. Every morning, they run into the classroom and give each of the teachers a hug. It's moments like this when I realize that I'm doing something positive in someone's life. But what I don't think the girls realize is that I look forward to that moment every morning. There's just something about someone running into the classroom, screaming your name, and wanting a hug, that instantly puts a smile on your face. We hung out at the zoo all day together and they wouldn't leave my side. They kept telling me "Ms. Hannah, we're your girls today!" and I was completely okay with hanging out with them all day! I'm excited to continue to watch these two grow and learn throughout the rest of the summer. I love going to work every day and making positive impacts on people's lives while they are unknowingly doing the same for me.
