When you are a Wednesday’s Child, seen by millions of television viewers, you never know what the results will be. Hopefully, you will find a family. And just maybe, other unexpected opportunities may open for you. That’s what happened to 12-year-old Jeremiah. After he was seen on NBC10’s weekly feature in Philadelphia, he was invited to become the 76ers Strong Kid of the Game. He was given a pre-game behind-the-scenes tour of the Wells Fargo Center; he was taken to courtside to enjoy pre-game warmups, and presented with an authentic jersey with his picture on it. Although Jeremiah tried to remain “cool,” his beaming smile betrayed him. He said it was a dream come true. Smiles like this are possible thanks to the huge village of donors, partners and families who support us throughout the year.
