Board of Bar Commissioners ATJ Appointments
The BBC will make two appointments to the NM Access to Justice Commission for three-year terms. The Commission is dedicated to expanding and improving civil legal assistance by increasing pro bono and other support to indigent people in New Mexico. The New Mexico Court of Appeals invites members of the legal profession to attend the investiture of Judge Emil J. Kiehne at 4 p.m., Nov. 8, at the New Mexico Court of Appeals in Albuquerque. The UNM School of Law Women's Law Caucus chooses an outstanding woman in the New Mexico legal community to honor annually in the name of former Justice Mary Walters, who was the first woman appointed to the New Mexico Supreme Court.
