In the teen years, more Independence = more responsibilities. Here are 8 things you can challenge your teen to do on their own:




Teach your teen the responsibility of saving money (vs. spending) with these educational money skills games. 



It's a great time to challenge teens to take extra steps in showing kindness and gratitude towards their family, friends, and even their first dates!

Practice Good Table Manners
  • Wash up.
  • Napkin in lap.
  • Phones put away.
  • Wait until all are served or the host/hostess begins to eat.
  • Say please and thank you.
  • Hold utensils properly (knife in dominant hand, fork in the other).
  • Chew with your mouth closed.
  • Don't speak with your mouth full.
  • Ask open-ended questions and initiate genuine conversations.
  • Offer to help clear and clean up.
  • Say, "thank you!" to the cook!
