Dear Residents & Families,
Thank you for your continued support as we work to keep your loved ones safe.
COVID-19 TESTING
As of today, we have no positive or suspected cases of COVID-19 in our Bainbridge Senior Living communities.
Our staff is actively monitoring illnesses and consulting with the Department of Health if we observe individuals with symptoms or circumstances which match those related to COVID-19. We are accepting no in-person visits at this time. Move-ins are being welcomed with safety protocols in place, including quarantine. We continue to implement best practices for cleaning and sanitizing.
COMMUNITY UPDATE
Some of our state’s smallest counties are leading the way into the next phase of relaxing COVID-19 restrictions. Nine rural counties are eligible to apply to the state this week to move to Phase 3 of Washington's
Safe Start
plan. The counties in question have all spent the required three weeks in Phase 2 without any rebound in coronavirus spread.
Phase 3 in Washington state means gatherings of up to 50 people are OK, and it will allow libraries and museums to reopen. Under the plan, “high-risk populations” which include residents of long-term care facilities can “resume public interactions with physical distancing” under Phase 4.
Today, Bainbridge Senior Living will be sending a separate communication to Madrona House families with details regarding consent, timing, and implementation of a recent order from the Secretary of Health which requires assisted living facilities with memory care units to offer free COVID-19 tests to all memory care residents and staff by June 26
th
. We’ll also set up an online Q&A session before undertaking any testing. Universal testing for our other communities is not yet possible, but we’ll be sure to keep everyone informed as circumstances change.
