Rocky Mountain BEST Robotics Fall Competition
We are excited to be hosting our 11th annual BEST Robotics Fall Competition.
We hope to see you and your students at our 2020 Incision Decision Game Competition.

2020 Competition Registration
If Interested in Bringing a Team to Our Fall Competition, please use the following Registration Process

The improved BEST National Registry tool steps described below will be used for a single team competition registration.

  • We will give 2019 RM BEST Competition Teams priority over the next few weeks through 21 April and we will approve these teams' registration first.
  • New schools' submitted registrations will be held in the order received until disposition of the 2019 teams.
  • When a team's registration is approved, the teacher will be notified by email.
  • We'll send out a new email if our plans change.

Step 1 - Login or Create Account - Lead Teacher and other teachers and mentors use this Account Video Link for Creating Account instructions(~4 Minutes).

Step 2 - Register Team Lead Teacher is expected to complete this step. This includes update 2019 School Profile or establish a NEW School Profile. Use this Team Video Link for Registering a Team instructions (~7 minutes).
  1. Introduces how to associate as a secondary teacher to this team.
  2. Describes an approval to compete email sent to the teacher which includes instructions to send to parents to register their students.

We are investigating if there is sufficient interest by veteran BEST teachers / mentors to volunteer to provide their contact information to a rookie BEST teacher / mentor to answer their questions and provide advice. Please REPLY if you might be interested in volunteering as a rookie mentor in 2020.

Save the Dates for SUMMER Training 
Denver BEST Teacher Training
14-16 July @ MSU Denver
We will be providing a 3-day Teacher / Mentor Institute 14-16 July at MSU Denver. Additional detail and registration instructions to be provided in future email.
  • This training is intended for Teachers, coaches, and mentors of BEST Robotics teams​. Participants will build and compete with a mini-BEST robot.
  • In addition to classroom participation, coursework includes ~ 10 hours pre-classroom reading, testing, scoresheet judging.
  • While geared towards new(er) BEST teachers, even veterans will gain tips and valuable experience. You must be at least 18 years of age to attend this workshop.
  • The Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) has generously offered to host this workshop on their campus in downtown Denver.
  • Tuition: possible low nominal food cost CEU: expect ~3 hours of Colorado Continuing Education Units.
We are looking for experienced BEST teachers/mentors to participate on a short Teacher / Mentor panel during one of the days. We also will have a short BEST student panel. Please REPLY if you or one of your students might be interested in supporting these panels.
BEST Robotics Inc Electronics Workshop
17 July @ MSU Denver - AM Class
In conjunction with the INCISION DECISION IR Sensor Kit part and autonomous challenge, our Electronics Workshop will be repeated again this year. Additional detail and registration instructions to be provided in future email.
  • The purpose is to introduce the IR Sensor Kit, teach electrical soldering and to assemble and test IR sensors for the Hubs’ teams. 
Electrical design content specific to the IR sensor released this year includes:
  • Introduction to Soldering (including practice time)
  • Introduction to BEST IR Sensor (how it works, how it can be used)
  • BEST IR sensor assembly (by students)
  • Testing the sensor operation (no software required)
We are looking for Teachers/Mentors/Students who are able to help teach this workshop. Please reply to this email if interested in learning more.
BEST of TEXAS Teacher Training
Registration NOW OPEN for the BEST Robotics Teacher and Mentor Workshop 22-26 J UNE & 20-24 JULY, hosted by BEST of Texas Robotic s.
  • This training is intended for Teachers, coaches, and mentors of BEST Robotics teams​. 
  • While geared towards new(er) BEST teachers, even veterans will gain tips and valuable experience. You must be at least 18 years of age to attend this workshop.
  • The University of Texas at Dallas has graciously offered to host this workshop on their campus in Richardson, Texas. 
  • Tuition $1000 and housing option of $250. 32 hours of Continuing Education Units
