Worship Services will continue to be streamed live

We are not sure what the future holds for large group gatherings, but our priority remains keeping our community safe. We have a significant number of folks in our community that are considered "high risk" for COVID-19. For now, we will continue with live streaming our worship services reviewing our status every two weeks or so. We will keep you updated regarding the re-opening of the Agape' Campus. Again, our main goal is to provide a safe worship environment for all who gather and we take this responsibility seriously. We love you all and miss you so very much. You remain in our hearts, thoughts and prayers.

The Board of Directors will be meeting virtually Monday, May 11th. This topic will be the center of our discussion. Equally important to the question of when is the question of how we can reopen safely. Thank you for your understanding and flowing with us as we navigate the COVID-19 challenges.

If you need anything please reach out to us. You can email the BOD and/or Pastoral staff at agapemccchurch@gmail.com. The church email box is being monitored by our BOD and we will respond as quickly as possible
A note from Rev. David...

Greetings Prayer Warriors! I've been in contact with Rev. Gina Purcell, who is a Chaplain at Texas Health Resources HEB Hospital and still calls Agape' MCC her home. They are inviting churches to pray for their staff and patients for one hour, one day a week. I signed Agape' up for Wednesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Please set an alarm in your phone to pray for them during that hour! May the healing presence of love and connection surround us all!

God, today we lift up Romans 13:11 amidst COVID-19.

Romans 13:11 Besides this, you know what time it is, how it is now the moment for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we became followers of Jesus.

When we become depressed because we are far from loved ones and we cannot be physically closer. When we cannot go to work and get paid. When we can't get out and do our own grocery shopping. When we can't find hand sanitizer and toilet paper. When we are sick and we are separated from loved ones. When we have to keep putting ourselves out there because we are considered essential. When we have to put our lives at risk because we are caregivers in the midst of a pandemic. When we become overwhelmed.  We know that You are still with us. Your saving grace is nearer to us now more than ever. Help us to cultivate a deeper relationship with You so we can feel that saving grace more powerfully.

Your words speak to us. "You know what time it is, how it is now the moment for you to wake from sleep." We ask that You will wake up each one of us, in this time, in this moment. Use each one of us to save someone through you. To make that call. To be comfort and peace. To drop off those groceries. To provide a listening ear in a chat online. To communicate job prospects where they are needed. To pray with and for each other. To answer that unmet need.

You are walking with us and working through us. You save us. All of us. You and me. Everyday. Amen.

There is a video link for the song Every Day by Rascal Flatts after the song lyrics below. Please take the time to prayerfully read the words and watch the video and listen to the song.

Every Day by Rascal Flatts

You could've bowed down gracefully
But you didn't
You knew enough to know
To leave well enough alone
But you wouldn't

I drive myself crazy
Tryin' to stay out of my own way
The messes that I make
But my secrets are so safe
The only one who gets me
Yeah, you get me
It's amazing to me

How every day
Every day, every day
You save my life

I come around all broken down and
Crowded out
And you're comfort
Sometimes the place I go
Is so deep and dark and desperate
I don't know, I don't know

How every day
Every day, every day
You save my life

Sometimes I swear, I don't know if
I'm comin' or goin'
But you always say something
Without even knowin'
That I'm hangin' on to your words
With all of my might and it's alright
Yeah, I'm alright for one more night-

Every day
Every day, every day, every day
Every day, every day
You save me, you save me, oh, oh, oh

Every day
Every, every, every day-
Every day you save my life

Amen

Streaming Worship - May 10, 2020
5th Sunday after Easter

Join us at 10:30AM virtually for a service that includes more of your favorite songs with a "Untroubled Hearts" message" from Rev. David. We will explore the question of "How does your spirituality guide or shape your life's journey?"

Be sure to have your "unique communion elements" on hand for our "Common Union" time, a candle and a heart/worry stone.

We encourage you to take a selfie during our worship time and post it on Facebook showing us a snapshot of what your worship experience looks like.

BTW, the issues we had during last Sunday's video stream have been resolved. Thank you to everyone who hung in there with us!

We are the church!
