Here is an update of what is happening at
House of Prayer this week!
Worship This Sunday
Whoever comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and even life itself, cannot be my disciple. Whoever does not carry the cross and follow me cannot be my disciple. For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not first sit down and estimate the cost, to see whether he has enough to complete it?  Luke 14:26-28

Does Jesus really want us to hate our family? This would seem to be ridiculous and confusing if true. Instead, Jesus wants those who wish to be his followers to be very clear about the cost. Putting Christ first in our lives requires total commitment and may mean saying "no" to other things, even very good things. Join us Sunday as we consider the cost of discipleship as well as the joys of following the crucified and risen Lord.

Let's Visit!
Would you like a visitor from one of our pastoral staff members? While we often hear of needs within the congregation, sometimes we are unaware of the needs within our family of faith. Pastor Ben or Pastor Kelly would be happy to visit any of our members or friends who would like a pastoral visit. These visits could be health related but could be for any reason. Contact the church office via telephone 612-866-8471 or Pastor Ben via email [email protected].
