Help A Family News

The craft table has been neglected over the summer months. Please remember these funds are used to help families in need in our community and here at LVC and there are many. Our white envelope gifts also support this ministry. We have been blessed with new greeting card makers, so come check out the new offerings. Crafters: Please be thinking about back to school and fall items at this point. Keep the holidays in mind as well....Christmas ornaments are a popular seller.

Habitat for Humanity - Building the Kingdom of God One Home at a Time

Lenape Valley partners with Habitat for Humanity to strengthen families and communities through building and improving affordable homes. In the past 30 years, Habitat Bucks County has built 115 homes and rehabbed 71 homes for locally under-resourced families.

Sunday, October 6 we will host Maureen Riley, Director of Life Enrichment at Pine Run Lakeview, and Cheri Kline, Director of Education at Pine Run Retirement Community, who will lead " Living with Dementia", to begin the conversation about the reality of dementia and the resources that are available to support families through that journey.

This free presentation, will be given in two options of a 1 hour session-9:30 am and11:00 am.

The Prayer Shawl Ministry will have it's first meeting of the fall Wednesday, September 25 from 7 to 8 PM. If you knit or crochet,

please join us for an hour of fellowship as we work on our shawls and lap blankets. If you need a prayer shawl or blanket for someone

please contact Faith Frank, 267-471-0759. If you would like to learn how to knit or crochet, join us and we will find someone to help you get started. Hope to see you there!

Genesis Information Night-

Wednesday, September 25th

@ 7-8pm

Parents and Students in 8 th -12 th grade are invited. This class will offer students the opportunity to explore the faith rather than just hearing about the faith. This class traditionally is known as Confirmation when students are encouraged to confirm the faith chosen for them by their parents. In Genesis, we will encourage questioning and wonder, to allow a student to claim the faith as his/her own.

Pumpkin Patch & Picnic Lunch

at Freddy Hill Farms

Join us on Sunday, October 6th for some fall family fun! We will meet at Freddy Hill Farms (in front of the Dairy Store) at 1 PM for lunch and fellowship, then take a hayride to the pumpkin patch. Bring your own lunch or purchase food on site. There are plenty seasonal activities for children of all ages, so we hope to see the whole family there.
