School Board Approves Three (3) e-Learning Days in Grades 5-12 for the 2019-2020 School Year
On August 20, the Board approved three (3) e-Learning days which may be utilized in the event of school closure due to inclement weather. These e-Learning days apply specifically to St. Croix Prep students in grades 5-12. Per state statute, e-Learning days serve as student contact days. Other relevant information is noted below:
  • State statute requires a minimum number of instructional hours by grade.
  • St. Croix Prep’s current 2019-2020 calendar has a two (2) days of instruction beyond state requirements – for students in grades 7-12.
  • Approval for grades 5 and 6 is to maintain continuity within the Middle School.
  • Attendance, instruction, and interaction will be done via phone, email and on-line classrooms already utilized by the School (e.g. Google classroom).
  • Parents and students will be notified at least two hours prior to normal school start time that students need to follow the e-Learning plan for that day.
  • Accommodations for students lacking sufficient technology (e.g. internet access, hardware, software, etc.) will be developed.
  • Accommodations for students with disabilities will be developed based on individual student needs.
  • Attendance is taken on e-Learning days and those students choosing not to participate are reported as absent.
Health Office - Immunizations
Per the Minnesota Immunization Law, the school needs up-to-date information. This can be in the form of a clinic print-out of the dates, a doctor signed medical exemption or a notarized conscientious objection for the student to attend school.

You can check the status of your student's immunizations on ParentVue. If the immunization is highlighted and/or there is an exclamation point please check to see if it says there are up-to-date/complete or if the immunization is needed. The system highlights those immunizations that may currently be up-to-date but will need a booster dose in the future.

Please turn all immunization information directly into the Main Office where the Health Office is located. You may fax information to 651-395-5901 or email it to nurse@stcroixprep.org.
