The FH Community in Action is made up of individuals with FH and the medical professionals who treat them. Through the FH Foundation, we work together to raise awareness, support our members, drive research, and advocate for improved diagnosis and care.

FH Community & Family Forums  
 
The FH Global Summit  in September 2017 included a Community Forum for individuals with FH. Attendees shared their stories, connected with a supportive community, heard from FH expert Dr. Seth Baum, and learned about what the FH Foundation is doing to advocate on their behalf. Attending the  2017 FH Global Summit   was a life-changing opportunity for patients like Jen Farnell, who remarked:
 
"It's amazing to see how many doctors around the world are doing research to help with our condition. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be able to meet world-renowned FH experts and tell them my story." 
The FH Foundation hosts in-person Family Forum events across the U.S. to bring together individuals and family members living with FH for support and to learn from experts about the latest in FH diagnosis and care. Join us at our next Family Forum in Dallas/Ft. Worth area  - details below!
Meeting of the Americas
 
For the first time ever, the FH Foundation brought together the FH Iberoamerican Network and many country leaders from across North, Central and South America to host the Meeting of the Americas, following the FH Global Summit in September 2017. FH experts and leaders of national FH patient groups from 12 countries worked together to discuss a joint survey initiative to understand and address the serious lack of awareness of FH in these countries. The FH Foundation will lead this effort by analyzing the survey results and returning the analyzed data back to each country to be used as a springboard to promote h ealth care professional education and advocacy.

The FH Specialist's Referral Network, our most requested tool, is a global resource to help individuals identify FH Specialists within their area. Joining our network will allow FH patients seeking care to easily locate your practice. If you are an FH Specialist, please add your practice to the map here.

2018 FH Advocates for Awareness Training
