We just came out of our most exciting month of the year and I must say that 2019 CoWorking Month was our best ever! Every day was packed with fun, networking and education, and the participation was over the top. Some of the highlights were the Shaver Shuffle (my first 5k), the Edina Grand Opening, Podcast Seminar, Taste of Woodbury and Bring Your Dog to Work Day! I heard that last week's Dilly Day and BlackJack Friday were the most well attended of the year. Congrats to our big winners, Zaylore Stout and Ben Theis and thank you to everyone else who participated in the survey, contests and events during CoWorking Month. Now on to September and back to work. Summer is wrapping up (yes, it's true) and now is the time to focus on business and ending the year strong. We have a full schedule for September and you owe it to yourself to try a networking group this month. Park Networking is on Thursday and the 3
rd Tuesday of each month is a Slice of Woodbury with pizza and networking. Make some new connections and have the opportunity to increase your business. Did you know that almost 80% of our members have reported an increase in the bottom line since joining OffiCenters? We know this is THE place to do business in the Twin Cities. 95% of our members say that OffiCenters provides a Work Awesome experience for their business; and that could not be more awesome!
This month I head to the Global Workspace Association International Conference in Washington, D.C. I plan to show them why OffiCenters runs ahead of the pack and bring back some knowledge to our workspaces. I am lucky enough to get to visit some new coworking spaces and also visit my great friends at
Metro Offices in Washington, D.C. which is my second favorite place to Work Awesome on the planet. If you are going to the DC Metro area check out their fantastic workspaces. Remember that we are always better when we collaborate within our industry and our community and at OffiCenters, that always starts with my desire to work with others and share ideas.
I challenge you to set one NEW goal for yourself this month. Get to one more networking group or reach out and collaborate with one new member. It just takes a first step . . . Thanks for a great month and I look forward to seeing you in the workspaces.

Our Member Survey Says!
You like us. You REALLY Like us! The fact is that 95% of those surveyed responded TRUE when asked if OffiCenters provides them a Work Awesome Experience for their business. Other responses showed that 77% of our members feel less isolated and 84% say they are more productive since joining our community. Those results are a big WOW! The bottom line has increased for 78% of the members who took our survey, with 72% telling us that they have made meaningful connections with other business professionals. And, we always knew that our events were well attended but now we have proof with over 65% of you saying they have attended at least one of our events, workshops or luncheons. Our members can use any of our seven locations and the numbers tell us that 59% of our members surveyed are taking advantage of using multiple locations to Work Awesome!

CoWorking Etiquette
We want to share a couple of tips and reminders about rules of the shared workspace areas. Spaces and booths are at a premium. Remember that we are here to share and work together and that spaces in the coworking areas are not "reserved". Yes, there is a first come/first served policy in the coworking area but let's play nice in our collaborative space. Exactly what are we saying? "Don't hog the booths!" OffiCenter policy is a two-hour limit in the booths and after that there may be a charge if you want to reserve the spot. Also, if you need a private meeting space and a booth will do, you may reserve the space with an OffiCenter team member at no charge.
The number one problem is HOLDING booths, tables or seats. Leaving all of your items, i.e. laptops, cords, personal items, purses, briefcases, and such, is prohibited if a person is Missing in Action (MIA). In a SHARED WorkSpace this is definitely "uncool". If you are MIA for more than 20 minutes, we will remove your items and lock them in the business center where they can be recovered. Keep in mind that our spaces belong to all of our (almost) 1500 members and one space does not belong to only you. As our community continues to grow, we are seeing a need to enforce this policy in order to be fair to all.
