Initiative to Spruce Up Pauls Valley Grows Out of New Board Training
At the August Chamber Meeting, the Board adopted a conceptual plan for an initiative being called “Pockets of Progress.” President Sherri Wing introduced the beautification initiative, believing that when people’s impressions of Pauls Valley are positive, there is a better likelihood of interest in moving and working here.

A work day is set for Saturday, Oct. 26. People are invited to join the volunteer effort and bring supplies and tools for accomplishing the goals of that day. More information will be announced in coming days.

It’s hoped that the Chamber will be able to lead various partners including civic groups, churches, schools and other community organizations to have a positive impact. The idea came from the new board orientation held in July. Various attendees of that meeting spoke in favor of the new initiative: Connie Upton, Kelly Reed, Andy Davidson, Macey Barber and Katie Johnson.
Things To Do
