The people of St. Margaret's have a story to tell. Eighteen months ago, we began a journey with much apprehension. We didn't know where we were going, who was navigating or who would carry the bags!

Now we know. The Holy Spirit navigated and carried the load, working the way she has always loved to work: by inspiring countless hearts. She called and energized an array of faithful souls to serve and lead us on the Vestry, Stewardship Team, Profile Committee and Call Committee. She drew added members to all our ministry groups. She delighted in surprising us with a speedy conclusion to our call process.

Is it easy or hard for you to share your faith? Some fear that by sharing, they will associate themselves with very pushy door-knockers who allow for no difference of opinion. Others are wary of projecting a "know-it-all" attitude.

In the second lesson of today's Daily Office readings, we see exactly why and how experiences of God are to be shared. When the authorities told Peter and John to shut up, they replied, "[W]e cannot keep from speaking about what we have seen and heard" Acts 4:20.

We share because we have experienced things too good to keep secret. The world deserves to know that the mercies of God ARE faithful and sure! Experiencing this makes us very curious about God's work in the hearts of others. It make us "tell-me-more" people instead of "know-it-all" people. It makes us celebrate difference. Tell your story, people!
