Rocking Horse Rehab
Grand Reopening
June 8, 2020

We are delighted to announce our Grand Reopening is set for
Monday, June 8, 2020!

Check out our new look and new name! Rocking Horse Rehab Family Wellness Center is proud to offer services for children, adults, and the entire family. We have a new logo to show our new name and we have a big surprise too!

Rocking Horse Rehab is currently undergoing a rehab of its own. We can't wait for you to see our beautiful, newly renovated, and super clean therapy center.

Our new floors and new furniture will allow us to thoroughly disinfectant the center during this COVID-19 pandemic and going forward.

Stay tuned for pictures of the reception area, offices, sensory garden, and therapy rooms coming soon.

Check out our plans for a SAFE reopening below.
We look forward to seeing you so call today to get back on our schedule!
Therapy Schedule Openings
We currently have spots available for speech, occupational, and physical therapy both in our treatment rooms and for Hippotherapy.

Mental health and social skills programs (one to one) are open with our licensed, clinical social worker.

Therapeutic Riding is available for both children and adults including Veterans, teens and in-betweens!
Do you want to learn more about how Hippotherapy is used as a treatment strategy by speech, physical, and occupational therapists? Check out this article by our physical therapist, Lynda MannBos.

REOPENING PLANS
RHR will follow CDC, local, regional, and federal guidelines as well as guidance by our licensing boards to ensure the safest reopening possible. The CDC website has a significant amount of resources for parents and healthcare providers. Please review the CDC website to learn more about how to keep your family safe.   www.cdc.gov

Rocking Horse Rehab will implement the following procedures upon reopening and until further notice. A comprehensive reopening plan can be provided upon request. Please email sheri@rockinghorserehab.com if you wish to obtain a detailed version of our plans.

Brief outline for reopening:

  1. Anyone with any illness or COVID-19 symptoms will be asked to stay home. Anyone who has been knowingly exposed will not be permitted at RHR for 14 days.
  2. Returning or new clients must not have CDC listed risk factors that could make them high-risk for severe illness from COVID-19. Check the list here.
  3. Health screenings including temperatures will take place upon arrival for all staff, clients, parents, siblings. Anyone with a temperature above 100 will be sent home.
  4. PPE including masks, face shields and gloves will be worn by all therapists. Masks will be required to be worn by all family members and the client, if the client can wear a mask. If not, it will be the therapist's decision to treat or not to treat the client.
  5. Parents are asked to leave siblings home if possible.
  6. Hand washing will be required upon arrival at RHR and hand sanitizer will be readily available.
  7.  Parents will be trained to be side walkers to limit the number of people coming in and out of RHR. If parent is unable or unwilling, a side-walker may be provided.
  8. No volunteers or interns will be allowed at RHR until September.
  9. Sessions will be limited to one client/family at a time.
  10. Protective equipment will be used over the horses to keep them clean and will be changed after each client. Horses will be wiped with alcohol solutions after each use.
  11. A thorough, professional cleaning will take place prior to reopening and will continue weekly. Nightly cleaning with disinfectant will take place by RHR staff.
  12. No fabric therapy materials will be used. Only therapy tools that can be cleaned with a bleach and water solution after each use will be used. All chairs and surfaces will be disinfected after each client session.
  13. Social distancing will be enforced.
  14. All clients are required to purchase their own helmets.
  15. No cash will be accepted. All payments will be made online.
