Glades PATCH Meeting
The Glades PATCH (Planned Approach To Community Health) is a program designed to help the community evaluate, plan and implement health education and disease prevention and intervention programs. PATCH helps promote the health of the community to include the social, emotional and physical well-being of its citizens. PATCH is a partnership of concerned citizens and organizations. This partnership provides a forum for identifying health problems affecting the community and mobilizing the community to plan, conduct and evaluate intervention services. The meeting is open to all who wish to join.

Dr. Jaeson Clayborn will present a lively talk about South Florida's butterflies and how to create a healthy and colorful garden that's good for people and wildlife.

Training: Sexual Assault Victims with Disabilities in the Healthcare Setting
From the Coalition for Independent Living Options: This training will concentrate on sexual assault victims with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We will discuss verbal versus non-verbal communication and we will be hosting a parent of an adult child with cerebral palsy and autism to talk about her child's journey through the healthcare system as a young adult with very little words to communicate his symptoms or concerns.

The first cycle of Tau Grants this year will support outreach for the 2020 Census for organizations, programs, or initiatives working in targeted communities that have historically low rates of participation in the Census. Requests up to $10,000 will be considered. Organizations must have an annual operating budget of $2 million or less to be eligible for a Tau Grant.
