Serve Wisconsin is pleased to announce that we are currently accepting nominations for the 2017 Governor's Service Awards. The ceremony will be held at Olbrich Botanical Gardens (3330 Atwood Avenue, Madison, WI 53704) on Thursday, June 8th at 10:00 AM.

 In March, Serve Wisconsin will be holding three informational summits about AmeriCorps and national service. Attend a summit to find out how AmeriCorps and national service can benefit your organization and your community. Take a look at our flyer and help us spread the word!

"I began my second term of service apprehensively. I had heard that corps members tend to get passion fatigue and burn out in their second year of dedication to low-income students pursuing college degrees. After my first year, I knew how exhausting working with high school seniors can be. I understood how taxing and emotional it can be to work with forty students who face seemingly insurmountable obstacles every day. I was prepared for a tough year, but you can never really prepare for a year with our students."
