Celebrate National Library Week
Celebrate National Library Week all week long! According to ala.org , National Library Week originated in 1958, and is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA). Established over 60 years ago, we continue to celebrate libraries around the country each year during National Library Week.

While our library's doors are temporarily closed, it is a great time to explore the many things our library has to digitally offer you and your family. Visit our At-Home Resource Guide and view over 100 links with activities of things to do while at home. Go to our #StayAtHomeOhio Home Resources for Families page on Pinterest and discover the resources you can use with your children (see our Pinterest Page from Children's Department article below for more details). We are also offering virtual programming on our Facebook page with live videos streaming daily at 11 a.m., Monday through Saturday (see our Live Daily Streaming Schedule article below for more information).

Be sure to celebrate National Library Week this week - download an e-book or audio book on one of our free online streaming sites, like Hoopla or Libby or explore one of our online resources today!

Sewing Masks for the Community
Did you know our library has a sewing machine for checkout in our Makerspace? While it is currently checked out, it is being used to make face masks for local people of our community. We are all in this together! Special thanks to Genevieve Roberts for doing her part to flatten the curve.
Virtual Book Club
Our library is hosting a weekly Virtual Book Club! Find The Alice Network by Kate Quinn for download on one of our free online streaming services like Hoopla or Libby . The Alice Network follows the story of two women, one a female spy connected with the real-life Alice Network of WWI, and the other an American searching for her sister in 1947. This is the story of how their lives connect 30 years later, in a tale of courage and redemption. Our Virtual Book Club posts a new book, quote and question on our Facebook page each week on Monday evenings and you will have the opportunity to ask questions or post a comment through Facebook. You do not have to have a Facebook account to read our latest posts about our Virtual Book Club. Happy reading!

Ohio House 2020 Economic Recovery Task Force Appointed
The state of Ohio recently appointed a bipartisan task force that will focus on getting Ohio's economy back on track in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our 80th District State Representative, Jena Powell, is serving on this new Ohio Economic Recovery Task Force and is accepting any feedback from our community members through her email at Rep80@ohio.house.gov . Our library encourages patrons to reach out to Representative Powell with any helpful suggestions to support our community in getting back to a state of normalcy.
