Health Advisory Issued at Four Palm Beach County Beaches Due to Bacteria in Water
Four Palm Beach County beaches are closed to swimming because of elevated levels of bacteria in the water. Health officials will retest the water, and once the bacteria levels fall into an acceptable range, the advisory will be lifted.

Palm Beach Homes: July Real Estate Deals Set Record at $374 Million
Palm Beach saw blistering real estate sales in July that hit $374 million - and by all accounts set a new monthly sales record in town, according to prices attached to the deeds at the Palm Beach County Courthouse. A Daily News sales analysis shows 20 single-family properties last month sold for a combined $347 million, a total that includes houses and vacant land sold privately as well as marketed in the Palm Beach Board of Realtors Multiple Listing Service. Sales of 22 condominiums and co-operative units, meanwhile, added another $27 million.

So Flagler WPB Owner LLC on Monday asked city commission approval of a zoning waiver that would allow an 11-story building on a site as little as one-tenth the size city law requires.

Since 2016, the virus has spawned outbreaks in at least 29 states, starting with Michigan and California. It has sickened more than 23,600 people, sent the majority to the hospital and killed more than 230. All but California's and Utah's outbreaks are ongoing, and experts expect to eventually see the virus seep into every state.
