PPO Information
Hello Everyone,
Welcome back!!!
It was WONDERFUL to see so many new faces on orientation night! We are looking forward to an exciting year!
The goal of PPO is to be able to give back to the students and the teachers each year to help supplement what they aren't provided through the school operating budget. Our missions statement is
"Parents partnering with the school to aid and support teachers, faculty staff and students."
Some of the events we sponsor are fundraisers for PPO (i.e. Fall Festival, Pictures with Santa, Daddy/Daughter Dance, and Family Movie Night). We are campaigning hard this year for Box Tops, too. Hopefully, as our PPO begins to thrive, we will be able to explore other fundraising opportunities, as well.
In an effort to increase our PPO operating budget so that we are saving as much of the money we raise through fundraisers to fulfill our mission, the room moms and parents in attendance at our first meeting voted to implement an incentivized PPO membership...
Please find our PPO membership form attached. Membership is per student, not per family. Classes that have 100% participation can choose an ice cream party or a pizza party. And, parents who join by September 1st will be entered into a drawing to win a Series 4 Apple Watch! You are entered PER student membership. So, if you have 4 children and you pay for a PPO membership for each child, you will be entered 4 times. That drawing will take place just before Christmas break!
If you join PPO, you WILL NOT be asked to contribute monetarily throughout the year toward PPO sponsored events. However, there are some things that are not covered by the PPO membership costs. Each month, one grade level in upper school and one grade level in lower school is asked to provide breakfast to our faculty and staff to show our appreciation for all that they do! Room moms will be coordinating with parents to send in items for these breakfasts.
Additionally...
In lower school, your PPO membership will give you $10 toward the cost of day trip field trips. Any costs above $10 for field trips will be the responsibility of the parent.
In upper school, your PPO membership will give you $10 toward your child's class dues. Any additional dues collected by the class above $10 per student will be the responsibility of the parent.
And of course, we encourage you to volunteer and participate! Our PPO will not thrive without parents and family members giving of their time and talents! There are ALWAYS ways to help! Each of our events for the year has a coordinator who will be reaching out for help with their respective events.
PPO membership forms can be turned into your classroom teachers or to the front office. Please clearly label any checks or cash, and be sure all forms and payments are secure in an envelope. Also,
If you wish to pay by CC, please fill out the form and indicate CC payment and provide an email where we can send you an invoice/link to pay.
The deadline for PPO membership will be
Oct. 11, 2019
. This will help us to plan our year and know our starting operating budget.
