ARLINGTON ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, ARLINGTON CHAMBER TO HOLD WEBINAR ON ARLINGTON'S SMALL BUSINESS EMERGENCY GRANT PROGRAM
Free webinar co-hosted by Arlington Economic Development (AED) BizLaunch and Arlington Chamber 
ARLINGTON, Va. -  Arlington Economic Development (AED) BizLaunch  and the Arlington Chamber of Commerce are co-hosting a free webinar on Tuesday, May 5 from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on the details of  Arlington's Small Business Emergency GRANT Program .

"This webinar will provide our Arlington businesses with the information they may need if they plan to apply for our Small Business Emergency GRANT," said Telly Tucker, Director of Arlington Economic Development. "We encourage any interested business owners to come with their questions, as it will be an important resource for applicants."

"The Chamber commends Arlington County for creating the GRANT Program to help Arlington's small businesses and thanks those who provided the funding for this important effort," said Arlington Chamber President & CEO Kate Bates. "We are proud to partner with AED BizLaunch to provide our businesses with the most up-to-date information about the resources available during this challenging time." 

Arlington County has designed the  GRANT program to provide immediate financial assistance to Arlington's small businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The GRANT program will provide grants of up to $10,000 to businesses and nonprofits with less than 50 employees. Businesses may use grants for employee salaries and benefits, and other business capital and operating expenses directly related to the immediate impacts of COVID-19.

Funding for the $1.2 million program is coming from existing AED FY2020 budget with additional contributions from the Industrial Development Authority (IDA) as well as the Rosslyn and Crystal City BIDs.
