HAPPY THANKSGIVING
As we enter the season of quiet reflection we also celebrate family, friends and times of giving THANKS.  Wishing you all a Wonderful Autumn and a Happy Thanksgiving with all the trimmings. A time to eat well, drink, share good times and to give thanks for all you are and all you have. Enjoy
THE TIMES OF OUR LIVES

NOVEMBER 1- the transiting Sun is 10 SCORPIO, a FIXED WATER sign. The sun stays in Scorpio until November 21 when it moves into Sagittarius. The symbols for Scorpio are the lower version, the scorpion who bites, the middle version, the eagle, who flies and sees a larger picture and the most evolved is the Phoenix, the mythical bird who throws itself into the fire rising each time from its own ashes - renewed and more evolved.  We all can do this- transforming and evolving into the best version of ourselves.

SCORPIOS are intuitive, resourceful, intense, passionate and transformational. When doing a task, they have the focus of a brain surgeon. They can research something to the core. No pretense - They know who you are immediately.

Nov 4 - Full Moon 11 Taurus
Nov 5 - Mercury into Sag
Nov 7 - Venus into Scorpio
Nov 7 - Election Day
Nov 11 - Veterans Day
Nov 18 - New Moon 26 Scorpio
Nov 22 - Neptune goes direct 11 Pisces
Nov 21- Sun enters Sag
Nov 23 - THANKSGIVING

Happily, transiting Jupiter, a beneficial planet is in Scorpio for the year.   Venus is in Scorpio for a month.  Both will be beneficial for Scorpio Suns and for those who have Scorpio in their astrology charts.
QUOTES FOR THANKSGIVING

1. The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are. J. Campbell

2. Every moment is a gift of life.  Thich Nhat Nanh

3. If you have life you have purpose.  Caroline Myss

4. The good old days are now. Tom Clancy

BODY: WARM UP YOUR BODY

When cold weather strikes a chilling blow, it makes sense to consume healthy, warming, concentrated foods. Dark orange vegetables such as sweet potatoes, winter squash, and carrots provide warmth.
Include other grounding roots such as onions and potatoes.  Other warming foods include arugula, mustard greens, and watercress.

Culinary herbs that help us feel warmer and improve circulation include: Black Pepper, Cardamom, Cayenne, Cinnamon, Garlic, Ginger, and Horseradish  Use  the warming culinary herbs to spice up your food and teas to promote warmth throughout the body.

LAURA SAYS: Watch those GMO (Genetically Modified foods).  Like bread, pizza, and pasta that are not organic.  They tend to put weight on you.  Eat organic - when you can.  Your body will love you for it.

  SPIRIT AND THANKSGIVING

At this time of change and transformation Meditate and visualize yourself, like the Phoenix, letting go of old baggage.  What does this old baggage relate to? Allow yourself to release the old, lighten up, feel renewed and reborn.  Key Words - Letting Go.
