Superintendent's Message
“First, I believe that this nation should commit itself to achieve the goal, before this decade is out, of landing a man on the moon and returning him safely to the Earth.” ~ President John F. Kennedy

The Apollo 11 launch came on July 16, 1969, fifty years ago. The eight-day mission took the crew on a 935,000-mile journey to the moon. On July 20, 1969, over five-million people watched the televised image and heard Neil Armstrong’s words, “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind” as he became the first human to set foot on the moon, fulfilling President Kennedy’s mission.  Click here to read more.

Superintendent's Entry Plan
I am honored and humbled to serve as the Superintendent of Schools for the communities of Northborough and Southborough. As I begin my new role, it is an excellent opportunity for our school community to assess where we are as a District and where we aspire to be in the future. I do know, having served as the District’s Assistant Superintendent for the past five years, what a fantastic District we have: Families are committed and engaged; the towns provide tremendous support and resources to our educational systems; faculty and staff are talented, dedicated, and involved; and our students are amazing. The Transportation Program of the Northborough, Southborough, and Northborough-Southborough Regional school districts is one of many services that the districts provide to support the education of its students from kindergarten through Grade 12. The three-tiered system (high school, middle school, elementary) transports over 4,000 students who attend our schools each day. The program involves 32 buses at a cost of tw million dollars each year. Per state law, transportation services must be competitively bid. Currently, we have a five-year contract with North Reading Transportation (NRT) for in-district transportation through June of 2020.
