A WEEK WITH BIA
Dear Member:

Our industry continues to fight with resolve, finding new ways to adapt to the new landscape that we're operating in during the pandemic.

Today we sent out our COVID-19 Pandemic & Housing Crisis Emergency Letter  to every elected official and their staff within our region, thanking them for their support but reminding them that this is not the time to add new fees and regulations to housing. Also this week, the Building Industry Legal Defense Fund (BILD) issued a Memo to BIASC members regarding the the Judicial Council of California's issuance of 11 emergency rules for the judicial system during the current pandemic, which has made development projects especially vulnerable to NIMBY litigation.

And yesterday, we held our first BIA-LAV Zoom Board Meeting! We are grateful to you all for adapting and adjusting to our new "normal". As before, and now through this pandemic, BIA remains vigorously dedicated to our membership and mission. We are committed to providing effective and informative web-based events, educational opportunities and advocacy under these new and different circumstances.

Stay safe and well,
BIA-LAV
