Aetna and CVS Health have launched the Accendo Insurance Company (ACC) Medicare Supplement product.
The plans offer a 14% household discount and are available in 15 states so far, with additional states rolling out.
If you're already contracted with Aetna Senior Supplemental Insurance, you don't need to fill out any additional contracting forms in order to sell ACC Medicare Supplement plans, as your existing contract will apply.

Gerber Life wants to be as sensitive as possible to an individual customer’s circumstances, while at the same time avoiding any misunderstanding that could leave a policyholder with a buildup of premium payments that will need to be paid after the 90-day period is lifted.

Gerber Life lapse protection during COVID-19
Effective April 1, 2020, a grace period of up to 90 days is available to those who may need additional time to pay their premiums to avoid a lapse in their coverage.
It’s important for policyholders to know that this means a
delayed
due date for premium payments,
not a waiver
of those payments.
|

Given the current environment, Mutual of Omaha will allow the following exception to rules regulating the taking of electronic applications via phone for PDP business.
- You may take electronic applications over the phone with your customers without using a script and without the ability to record the call.
- You are still required to complete a Scope of Appointment (SOA), which can be sent and completed electronically by both the customer and you.
Although calls may not be recorded and no script is used, you should continue to utilize best practices.
- Read all the required disclosures provided in the e-app,
- Ensure your client fully understands the coverage and benefit details; and
- Ensure your client understand they are enrolling in a Medicare Part D plan.

Changes for PDP e-App Over the Phone
|
Mutual of Omaha strongly encourages you not to conduct in-person client meetings and we should all be prudent to exercise an abundance of caution.
- Opt for video meetings or phone calls where possible
- Avoid in-person meetings
- If you do proceed with an in-person meeting, please document the client’s agreement to meet.
- Practice social distancing. Stay at least 6 feet from the client.

The NEW consolidated contract includes ALL contract changes incorporated in recent years by amendments, and contains minor changes to clarify terms.
|

Please keep a lookout for an email from
UnitedHealthcare Medicare Solutions Contracting
and REVIEW and SIGN your new contract using DocuSign® within 30 days of receipt.
Once you have completed the re-contracting process you will receive a confirmation email.
Remember to check your spam folder throughout April and May if you do not see an email with the new contract.
