Hello Northland Families!
With all the busyness of the first week of school, we wanted to make sure you had the chance to meet our final three new faculty members this year. The school year is already off to a great start, and we are excited to have them on board!
Lee Lemons
MS Teacher: 6th grade English, 8th grade English
Ms. Lee Lemons has a BS in Elementary Education with a minor in English from Southwest Texas State University, and a Masters of Education from University of Texas – Pan American. She is bringing her experience to Northland’s Middle School, teaching 6th and 8th grade English.

“I’ve taught for 33 years and have loved every second of it. My students have ranged the full spectrum of religion, race, and social economic levels, none of which mattered to me, because kids are kids. Their quirky behaviors, the gleam in their eyes, and the joy of learning matter to
me.”
Alan Manatt
MS Teacher and HS Athletics: 7th grade Texas History, 8th grade U.S. History, Head Volleyball Coach
A graduate of Pomona College and the University of California, Santa Barbara, Mr. Alan Manatt has a BA, MA, and PhD, all in history. He joins Northland’s Middle School as a history teacher, teaching 7th grade Texas History and 8th grade U.S. History. He also brings his athletic
experience as Northland’s Head Volleyball Coach.

“Having enjoyed the best six years of my teaching career at a small Christian school in California, and having met several of the able and enthusiastic administrators, faculty, and staff of Northland Christian School over the summer, I trust that God has put me in the right place to
resume my calling to help His students discover that they are indeed bearers of His image.”
Andre Turner
MS Teacher: 6th grade Introduction to Robotics, 7th grade Math, 8th grade Math
Mr. Andre Turner received a Bachelor of Business Administration and Management from Houston Baptist University and plans to enroll in HBU’s online Master of Divinity course. He is also a certified math teacher, and will be teaching robotics and math to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.

“In my heart of hearts, I am passionate about discipleship. Lovingly training and equipping this generation of young people is the joy of my heart. I can’t wait to see what God does in our midst as we set out to learn and grow together.”
