Upcoming Sermon Series, "Greatest Hits"  Fall 2019
Sept. 8-Oct. 6

Whatever the genre, each of our lives has a soundtrack; the songs that we return to again and again in good times and in bad. Our faith has familiar lyrics too, those "greatest hits" of our scriptures that we turn to time and again. Join Rev. Seth Ethan Carey and Rev. Kendra Joyner Miller this Fall for a musical exploration of the songs and the stories, the anthems and the rhythms that echo in our ears and in our hearts.

Welcome Our Interim Directors of Youth Ministry

Please welcome our summer seminary intern, Robin Owen-Lovett, and former seminary intern Carolyn Lawrence as our new Interim Directors of Youth Ministry. They bring a wealth of experience, and promise to be faithful stewards of our youth programs as we search for a full time Director of Youth Ministry. Robin will be working with our Senior High students, and Carolyn with our Elementary and Junior High Students, as well as collaborating on our Confirmation program. Please give them a warm FCCGE welcome!

Construction News

Pilgrim Hall Progress

Work continues on schedule for Pilgrim Hall! We are about 35% complete. With all demolition completed, workers were able to install the new electrical infrastructure, repair all the ancient plumbing and install brand new plumbing for our new laundry room which will help us serve our PADS guests. Walls have been repaired and new ceiling soffits have been installed. Duct work for heating and cooling are underway and sound absorbent insulation is in the ceiling. We are now awaiting delivery of new lighting, doors and building parts.  Target finish is mid- September.  Have a look here!

Rooftop HVAC Project Complete!

Part of our Capital Campaign funds have been used to replace 20 year old heating and cooling systems on our roof. The new units are much more efficient and eliminated the huge labyrinth of duct work covered in leaky insulation, giving our roof a significantly lower profile, also providing much quieter units. The areas most affected by these upgrades are the sanctuary (powered by 2 systems), our classroom building and the choir room and north offices. Many thanks to the diligent work of Andy Ginger, Tom Pulver and the many professionals involved in these projects.
