We hope everyone enjoyed a blessed Easter celebration. We have a few updates as we start a new week.
Distance Learning Tomorrow we are excited to begin our synchronous learning schedule. Please refer to the email you received on Monday, April 6, (or click here) for the schedule we will follow from April 15 through June 4.
Synchronous Classroom Etiquette
Students will use the following adapted online meeting etiquette at all times during synchronous online instruction.
Students will attend to the instruction on the screen and listen to one another, sitting quietly without creating distractions, to include visually.
Students will only use chat to discuss content/classroom specific items.
Sitting at the computer is the expected posture during live online instruction. Laying down/ lounging doesn't show the highest respect for the teacher's efforts.
Students will dress appropriately in a top/shirt and bottom/shorts or pants that meet the current dress down guidelines in the York Catholic student handbook.
Service Hours Plan
Students are exempt from completing service hours for the second semester, however, students must still complete the service assignment they will receive from their Religion teacher. Hours that have already been completed will be honored and acknowledged.
Spirit Day
Tomorrow is Whatcha' Reading Wednesday: What books are you reading for fun these days? Still in need of a book? Take a look at the Virtual Library Mrs. Catalanello put together for us by clicking here (it's also available on the Distance Learning page of the YC website)! Take a picture of you and your current read to recommend to your schoolmates and send it to [email protected] by 6 PM tomorrow so we can post it on our social media!
