- Despite some confusion with orders last week, the virus is still a threat to our community. To ensure safe reopening, the Winnebago County Health Department has created a webpage dedicated to reopening guidance
- The COVID-19 Community Testing Site will be open Tuesday-Friday this week and is now available to anyone, with or without symptoms. More information here.
- Gov. Evers today announced $75 million in assistance for small businesses as part of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation’s We’re All In initiative, a comprehensive effort to celebrate and help Wisconsin’s small businesses get back on their feet and support best practices to keep businesses, consumers, employees and communities safe. Funded largely by federal dollars received through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, this initiative will provide direct assistance to small businesses most impacted by the duration and restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic. These $2,500 cash grants will assist with the costs of business interruption or for health and safety improvements, wages and salaries, rent, mortgages, and inventory. Grant recipients will become We’re All In businesses by committing to safety protocols and using them in their shops, cafes and places of work to protect their customers, employees, and communities. Businesses will be able to apply for grant assistance in early June.

- The drive-thru mobile pantry will be hosted once per week at Fox Valley Technical College located at 1825 N Bluemound Rd in Appleton each Thursday from 10am-12pm through the end of June.
- Each week there will be 2 truckloads, approximately 2,000 total food boxes, to distribute to the community.

- The Office of Outdoor Recreation partnered with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources to create the "Get Outside. Stay Safe. Be Well." toolkit. The outdoors are essential to our health and well-being, and this toolkit provides tools to help encourage and educate communities around getting outside and recreating safely by following new health guidelines.
- The CDC has released several decision trees for specific sectors include youth programs & camps, child care programs, faith communities, mass transit, restaurants & bars, schools, and workplaces. The "decision trees" the agency released recommend that all workplaces hold off on reopening unless they are ready to protect employees at higher risk for severe illness, including those 65 and older and people of all ages with underlying medical conditions.
- REMINDER: Call your healthcare provider before going into a clinic if you are experiencing mild to moderate symptoms of COVID-19. This allows them to provide guidance, prepare ahead if you need to be seen, and minimize risk to others.
